Cognitive behavioral groups such as MRT (Moral Recognition Therapy) attempts to raise moral reasoning by restructuring the beliefs a person has that leads to negative or harmful behaviors of substances use. These groups also focus on identifying situations and environments that trigger addictive behaviors. Clients can develop management strategies that support reduced use.
